Careers are premised on fears they can fence to us

Gels and plastics floating in entities/
Who call themselves beautiful, move us to empathy/
Reality TV has replaced reality/
And tacky facsimiles are what we call "talented"/
Any phallic likeness is power, and balance is/
Just an abstract term in this kingdom of callousness
